301    Undertaking: Your order will be transmitted to [e-mail], in
302    a specially-encrypted format for security. We guarantee that this program
303    is not sending any information about you or your system other than that
304    which you have explicitly entered in this order, apart from your electronic
305    mail address, which is automatically supplied as part of the message. We also
306    guarantee that the information in this order will be used only for the
307    explicit purpose of fulfilling your order and will not be made available to
308    any third party for any reason whatsoever. We don't like junk mail any more
309    than you do and nothing annoys us more than finding that our names have
310    somehow ended up on someone's mailing list.
312    Multi-User manual orders: terms and conditions.

315    Site: for licensing purposes, a "site" is the extent of a single
316    organization in a single Metropolitan area; so, a University with three
317    campuses in the same town would be covered by a single site license, but
318    a government department with offices in four separate cities would
319    require four licenses. For the purposes of this definition, State,
320    National and Municipal Governments do not qualify as "organizations", nor
321    do "umbrella" institutions, such as a Board of Education covering all
322    high schools in a city.
324    Purchase orders and payment: we are happy to accept purchase orders
325    provided that our invoice is paid under normal credit terms (nett 30
326    days). We can accept payment by VISA or Mastercard - in order to do so,
327    we need the card number, expiry date and the name exactly as shown on the
328    card. Credit card payments attract a 2.5% surcharge (the fee charged to
329    us by the bank) and may not appear as an exact amount on your statement
330    because we have to submit our vouchers converted to NZ dollars - we use
331    the exchange rate prevailing on the date of processing.
333    Currency: all prices are shown in US dollars; we require payment in US
334    DOLLARS DRAWN ON A US BANK. The exception to this is for clients in New
335    Zealand, who are welcome to contact us for a New Zealand Dollar rate.
336    Please note the "US Bank" requirement carefully - payments in US Dollars
337    drawn on non-US banks attract considerable fees at this end and will be
338    returned unpresented.
340    Invoices: all manual purchases are properly invoiced. New Zealand clients
341    will receive a valid Tax Invoice (prices are inclusive of GST in NZ).
343    Payment by IMT (International Money Transfer): we are willing to accept
344    payment by money transfer, but recommend that you avoid this method of
345    payment because of serious weaknesses in the international banking
346    system.  If you pay by IMT, your bank MUST remit the funds DIRECTLY to
347    the National Bank of New Zealand, Dunedin North Branch, account
348    060909-0106632-13. The name of the account is "David Harris, Pegasus
349    Mail". Please stress to your bank the importance of the direct transfer -
350    transfers sent to us via other banks in New Zealand will attract a
351    processing fee which we refuse to accept; my bank has standing orders to
352    reject such payments and return them to the sender. Only transfers made
353    directly to the National Bank of New Zealand are acceptable. Please note
354    that the "National Bank of New Zealand" and the "Bank of New Zealand" are
355    completely different institutions.
357    Fees and deductions: it appears to be common practice in parts of Europe
358    for banks to deduct fees from the amount remitted - we will not accept
359    such deductions and will return payments from which fees have been
360    deducted unpresented. We require the amount paid to us to be the amount
361    shown on the invoice.
363    US Taxpayer information requests: we periodically receive requests from
364    US companies and organizations asking us to provide "FEIN" numbers, or
365    Social Security Numbers which are needed by the client for compliance
366    with US Tax Laws. We have contacted the US Commerce Attache in Sydney,
367    Australia, and advise on their recommendation that the vendor is NOT a US
368    Citizen, and is not resident in the USA for taxation purposes. We cannot
369    provide the information requested (we have neither a FEIN nor an SSN) and
370    requests for such information will not receive a reply. We suggest you
371    record that the vendor is a foreign national not subject to US taxation
372    laws.
374    Quotes, bids, pro-forma invoices and acknowledgments: because of the
375    sheer volume of paperwork we have to process, we regret that we are
376    unable to provide quotes, bids, pro-forma invoices or acknowledgments of
377    receipt of orders (other than by e-mail on specific request). The most
378    recent version of this file retrieved from us by e-mail may be taken as a
379    firm quote - we will honour the prices shown provided this form is used.
381    VAT and import taxes: when we ship manuals, we enclose a commercial
382    invoice for customs purposes, itemized as US$11 for materials and the
383    remainder of the fee as a license charge. We are not responsible for
384    taxes or import duties levied on entry to your country and suggest you
385    contact your customs service in advance for information on any fees which
386    might be payable.
388    Freight charges: all manual prices include courier shipment via TNT
389    Worldwide Courier anywhere in the world. TNT usually provides a three to
390    five day service to any destination. We can ship via airmail on specific
391    request, but are unable to ship via other carriers (such as FedEx, UPS or
392    DHL).
394    Delivery times: the usual processing time for an order is 4-8 days plus
395    the time required for shipment. Occasionally the time required will be
396    longer than this, and if a new version of the manual is due in the near
397    future, we reserve the right to hold your order until it is released, so
398    that you get the most up-to-date product.

415    We have attempted to keep the price of the Single-User manual set as low
416    as possible, but in order to do so, we have had to apply a few ordering
417    restrictions (which do NOT apply to multi-user licenses):
419    1: Shipping: The shipping times shown in the order form are estimates
420       only and may be subject to seasonal variation or delay. Shipping times
421       shown do not include the time required to process the order, which is
422       usually between 3 and 7 days.
424    2: When ordering via this order program, we require payment with order
425       by credit card. Credit card payments attract a 2.5% surcharge (to
426       recover part of what the bank charges us for processing the payment).
427       This is calculated automatically by the order program and added to the
428       amount charged to your card. Note that because we are required to
429       submit our claims to the credit card company in New Zealand dollars,
430       there may be a slight difference between the US dollar amount shown
431       on the form and the amount actually billed to your card; this variation
432       is due to fluctuations in exchange rate and is outside our control.
434    3: We cannot accept company purchase orders for Single-User manuals
435       unless you are purchasing 5 or more copies (in which case you should
436       look at Multi-User licensing in the previous section before placing
437       your order). Please note: "company purchase order" in this context
438       means an official, payment-on-invoice order form for credit purchases
439       on standard nett-30-day terms. Naturally, individual users wishing to
440       buy a single manual may do so - all we're saying is that if you want
441       to buy fewer than five copies, you must prepay your order. Please use
442       the order form supplied with WinPMail as SU-ORDER.FRM if you wish to
443       order five or more copies using a company purchase order.
445    4: If you are a US corporation or any other US body which is required
446       to perform tax reporting on payments it makes, be advised that the
447       vendor is not US-resident for tax purposes and cannot supply you with
448       FEINs, SSNs or any other US Tax-related data. Requests for this
449       information will not receive replies.
451    5: No future upgrades to either the documentation or software are
452       included in the price of a Single-User manual, but purchasing a
453       manual will entitle you to a small discount on any future copies you
454       buy.
456    6: If a new release is imminent, we reserve the right to hold your order
457       so that you get the new version. We cannot guarantee that you will be
458       notified that your order is being held, but you may query by e-mail
459       to [e-mail].
